leslie newpher interiors bedroom redesign

Most of these projects were completed in the early 2000s when browns and earth tones were the thing. The glazed cabinets in the master bathroom shown are a little dated but still classic. The one-of-a-kind older rugs in most of these photos are always a good investment. If you have one that you love you can just change the colors or the furniture around it. The rug in the living room corner vignette shot now has creamy off-white seating on top of it. There are so many colors and so much value in these that you could pick any color out of the rug for a whole new look. These keep their value where new or machine-made rugs would just be thrown out. It’s totally worth the expense in the long run.

I wouldn’t change a whole lot in any of these rooms with the exception of the large kitchen with the beams. That could use some updating but the client has moved a couple of times since then so no telling how the new owners recreated it to their own style and taste. I have always prided myself on classic interior design. That is not to say I don’t follow a trend or that everything has to be super traditional, I just add in the trends, transitional, and contemporary influences in the details that are easy to change for an overall classic and updated look that will last!
